AudioThing has released The Orb, a new formant / vowel filter effect plugin for Windows and MAC (VST, AU, and AAX format). The Orb plugin features 3 band-pass filters capable of recreating the traits of the human voice. LFOs provide varied results.
The Orb plugin also offers several vocal sets, tailored to the characteristics of male, female and childish voices. ZDF bandpass filters are used for sound shaping. Three LFOs are available for modulations. They are linked to the vowel selection as well as frequency and resonance values of the formants.
